EAST INDIA HOUSE, DEVONSHIRE SQUARE

Plant Room Chiller Installations

East India House is part of Devonshire Square Estate. On the 5th floor plant room 3 x chillers were found to be beyond repair. We managed a project which involved the craning in and connecting of a temporary chiller and connecting mechanically and electrically.

We then arranged the dismantling of the 3 chillers, the removal of a concrete roof and the install of steels to support. We then organised the craning in of 3 new chillers, connected and commissioned.

All in a limited space within the Square Mile involving road closures and a challenging programme. All of the above was completed without losing services to occupied offices and Coventry University.

TRAVELODGE, DRURY LANE

Phased Works Air Conditioning System

This project working in conjunction with Temperature Control Ltd saw the phased works installation of a new air conditioning system in the Covent Garden Travelodge whilst the hotel remained open.

450 rooms had new systems installed over a 4 month period. The work was completed with minimal disruption to staff and guests and was completed within budget and 3 weeks early.

UBS BUILDING, 5 BROADGATE CIRCLE

Shell & Core Services

We managed the shell and core services for 5 Broadgate Circle in the City of London, overseeing the installation of plant and modulated pipework to one of the biggest office buildings in Europe.

The works included all plant rooms in sub basement, all plant on the roof with all riser pipework linking the two with a value £7.7million.

KING’S YARD ENERGY CENTRE

Olympic Park & Westfield

We were Project Managers for the installation of the King’s Yard Energy Centre which supplies power to the Olympic Park and Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford.

This is the largest decentralised energy scheme to be built in the UK and makes a key contribution to the Park meeting its zero carbon ambitions. Developments around the Park are also able to connect their buildings to the network and benefit from this efficient energy.

NEW BUILD SCHOOL EXTENSION - KENT

Design & build.  Contract value £3.3m.

Becket Keys School extension is a new timber framed construction giving the school a separate 6th form block.

The works involved the demolition of a smaller old school building that was needed as the building needed drain water attenuation (so when it rains the water is stored in a large system of underground plastic crates that fill with the rainwater and only slowly are released into the drain system). The crates were under the playground and where the old block was situated and the whole area was re-configured to give three netball pitches, a new entrance and that new building.

The works included a platform lift, a huge folding wall and separate café area for the pupils with doors to an elevated timber decking area.

Energy was gained by Solar Photo Voltaic Panels on the flat roof with a huge two storey atrium at second floor with natural ventilation throughout.

NHS EALING HOSPITAL

Main Reception

We managed the construction of a modern glass-partitioned main reception for NHS Ealing Hospital in conjunction with the Ealing Health Trust.

We also supervised the phased installation of power throughout the hospital including all wards operating theatres to allow the introduction of a new computerised patient profile system.


HILTON & JURYS INN

Plant Removal & Reinstatement

We have managed numerous projects in hotels throughout London and the South East.

This includes removal and reinstatement of plant in plant rooms and front of house, within hotel lobbies, bars and restaurants of both Jurys Inn Hotels and Hilton Double Trees.

THE MARYLEBONE HOTEL

Chiller System Installation

We managed the project to decommission and dispose of the old chiller and to replace with a new chiller in the Marylebone Hotel on behalf of the Doyle Collection.

All welding was prefabricated off site in our workshop, with a total project value of £63k.

NEW BUILD BLOCK 4 FLATS - ISLINGTON

Design & build. Contract value £1m.

This project involved the initial demolition of an existing empty brick building in a tight residential neighbourhood with occupied multi storey flats both sides.

New build was with concrete piles and ground beams and reinforced concrete framed superstructure construction. Very tight site with very little room for deliveries as a mature tree to consider smack bang in the front of the development.

This contract is for a Local Housing Association giving four flats for rent and they are so pleased with the progress and quality that we have been put on a larger build of the same construction.

ST. KATHARINE DOCKS

Pumped waste system

Supervision and design of a new and improved pumped waste system under exclusive accommodation in Ivory House, St Katherine Docks whilst maintaining a working system.

WEST END RETAIL OUTLETS

Various refurbishment projects

Managed a series of projects in and out of hours in high profile West End shops including Selfridges on Oxford Street in London’s West End.

MORRISONS MARKETING SUITE

Olympic Park Stratford

We project managed on the Olympic Park dealing with the construction of Morrisons Marketing suite.

Dealing with the client and the sub contractors and delivering a high profile project early and in budget.
